Privacy policy

What we collect through this website, who handles it, how long we keep it, and how to ask us to delete it, in plain English.

Who we are

This website is run by BuildAI, a trading name of Monirul Islam, based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. “We” and “us” in this policy mean BuildAI. For anything about your personal information, email us atteam@buildaico.com, or use our contact form.

The short version

  • This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising or tracking tools.
  • We only receive personal information you choose to send us: through the contact form, or by writing to us.
  • Forms are delivered to us by a service called Web3Forms, which emails each submission to our inbox.
  • We use what you send to reply to you. We don’t sell it, and we don’t add you to any mailing list.
  • You can ask us to show you, correct or delete what we hold about you at any time.

The contact form

The contact form asks for your name, email and project details.

We use this to reply to your enquiry, to prepare for a call if you want one, and to write a quote. Replying to an enquiry is the reason the form exists, so there is no separate consent tickbox: sending the form is asking us to get back to you.

Please don’t include sensitive information in the form, such as health information, passwords or payment details. If your project involves data like that, tell us in general terms and we’ll agree a proper way to handle it before any of it is shared.

Who else handles your information

We use a small number of services to run the site and our email. Each receives only what it needs.

  • Web3Forms receives everything you submit through the contact form and emails it to us. Your browser sends the form straight to Web3Forms, so Web3Forms also sees your IP address and browser details, as any website you connect to does. Web3Forms’ handling of that data is described in itsprivacy policy.
  • Our email provider, Zoho Mail (Zoho Corporation), stores the emails that form submissions arrive as, and any emails you send us directly. Zoho runs data centres in several regions; we have not stated which one holds this mailbox, because we would be guessing. What Zoho does with the data it processes for us is set out in its own privacy policy.
  • Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, serves this website from its global network. There is no single server location: the copy you receive is sent from whichever of Cloudflare’s locations is nearest to you, and your request passes through Cloudflare’s systems to reach it. See “Server logs” below.
  • Calendly hosts our booking calendar. Nothing from Calendly runs on this website at all: the contact page simply links to it, and following that link takes you to Calendly’s own site. If you book a call, Calendly receives the details you enter there, under its ownprivacy policy.

These services may process data in countries other than the one you live in. If you contact us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy apply to that conversation.

AI tools

Enquiries are read and answered by people. If we use an AI tool to help draft or summarise a reply, we only use providers that don’t train their models on what we send them, and we never paste your name, contact details or other identifying information into a public AI chatbot.

Server logs

This website is static files served by Cloudflare. We do not run a server of our own and we do not keep an access log. There is no record on our side of which pages you viewed, when, or from which IP address, so there is nothing of that kind for us to search, hand over or delete.

Cloudflare does process your request in order to deliver the page — that is how any website reaches you — and it does so as our hosting provider, on our behalf. What Cloudflare records about requests to the sites it serves, and for how long, is set out in its ownprivacy policy. We have not restated those periods here, because they are Cloudflare’s to state and to change.

Cookies and browser storage

This website sets no cookies. It stores one small item in your browser’s session storage, named fonts, which records that the site’s typeface has already downloaded so later pages don’t download it again. It contains no personal information, is never sent to us or anyone else, and is deleted when you close the tab. The typeface itself is served from our own server, not a third party.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don’t become projects: we keep the emails for 24 months after our last contact with you, so we have the context if you get back in touch, and then delete them.
  • Enquiries that become projects: kept for as long as we work together, and afterwards for as long as we need them for our contract, accounting and tax records, which is 6 years after the project ends.
  • Server logs: we keep none, so there is no period. See “Server logs” above.

Seeing, correcting or deleting your information

You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Emailteam@buildaico.com with the subject “Personal data request”, from the email address you used to contact us, and tell us what you’d like us to do. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act, so that we never hand your information to someone else.

We’ll reply within 30 days. When we delete an enquiry, we delete it from our inbox and any notes we made about it. Copies held by Web3Forms are covered by its own policy; if you want those deleted too, we’ll pass your request on.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You may also be able to complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Children

This website is for businesses. It isn’t aimed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, for example by adding a new service that receives it, we’ll update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
